Buffalo Tussle
The Cape Buffalo is one of the most aggressive, most dangerous animals in Africa. They live in herds that can range from hundreds to thousands. Large herds decrease the possibility of an individual buffalo falling prey to a lion or lion pride. The buffalo in this photo were tussling, but it seemed to be playful rather than a contest for dominance.
