Eldorado Canyon Mine
In Eldorado Canyon, the historical Techatticup Mine is the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Nevada. Only 45 minutes from Las Vegas, the canyon is a world apart from the glitz and glamour of The Strip. There are fascinating relics of all kinds, but a visit does require some caution. Before we were allowed to photograph here, we received mandatory instruction on how to avoid rattlesnakes and the tenacious Cholla cactus that abound.
