Palouse Pastels
My favorite museum in the world is the Musee d’Orsay in Paris, home to some of the most magnificent impressionist paintings ever created. I think that’s why I’m so captivated by the Palouse region in southeastern Washington State - it seems like an impressionist masterpiece come to life. In the spring, the Palouse fields sport shades of green - darker greens from winter wheat, lighter greens from the spring wheat just beginning to poke through the surface of the rich brown tilled land.
