Avalanche Gorge
On the western side of Glacier National Park is the spectacular Avalanche Creek trail. The trail snakes through an old growth forest of red cedar, hemlock, larch and black cottonwood. The highlight is where the glacial waters carve through a narrow gorge enveloped by colorful, mossy cliffs.
